According to Russian News Agency, RIA Novosti, a deal has been reached for a unification bout between WBC champion Vitali Klitschko and WBA champion Nikolai Valuev. Valuev told RIA Novosti that he reached a deal with Klitschko and the two are looking to fight in the fall. From what I gather, the deal was reached between the two fighters. The promoters have to go over the particulars of the deal and the sanctioning bodies have to approve the fight.

"I have reached agreement with Klitschko and we really want to meet, we have been talking about the end of September or October," Valuev said.

Valuev, at seven-feet and 300-plus pounds, would be the first opponent who is bigger than Vitali, standing around 6'7-6'8. The WBC champ is happy with fighting Valuev.

"I was delighted when Nikolai called to say he wanted the fight," Vitali said.
