Canadian welterweight fighter Jonathan Goulet (22-10) has been forced to withdraw from his UFC 100 bout with Dong Hyun Kim (11-0-1). Goulet made the announcement on his Facebook page, saying he suffered a dislocated shoulder during training.
“I tried very hard to [come] back, but I can’t,” Goulet stated. “It’s official. I [won’t] be a part of the historical moment; I [won’t] be a part of UFC 100.
“I dislocated my shoulder. I’m very angry and sad.”
No announcement has been made by the UFC about the injury or a new opponent for Kim for the UFC 100 show.
